Your "PcCredit" Rating! CyberD(UK).com Ltd have worked together with Brent Electronics, part of the Namco Europe Group to produce a robust ActiveX component for developers to integrate the PcCredit range of interface boards into their own coin operated projects. The PcCredit boards support a wide range of the most popular coin mechanisms, including: Mars Cashflow, Coin Controls, SECI, Microcoin and Jofemar. The ActiveX components incorperate two drivers, a complete protocol driver supporting all the functions of the PcCredit 4 (and PcCredit 7) and a simple coin counting driver compatible with the complete range. Whilst the full protocol driver only supports functions of the PcCredit protocol supported by the PcCredit 4 board it is compatible with the complete range of PcCredit boards. Included with the ActiveX components are two additional applications, PcCB Control and Curtains. PcCB Control is for use in the field with systems running the PcCB Drivers. It allows cash collectors and maintenance staff to change the coin mech or note validator model or manufacturer without the need to reinstall new versions of software specifically written for that mech. The non-programming staff can easily change the Comm Port used for connecting the board to the PC and the monetary values assigned to the output channels. Curtains is a small application allowing administrators to credit control use of a PC via the PcCredit Interface Board. Curtains draws a curtain over the windows desktop whilst the user is not in credit. When the user is in credit the curtain lifts and a small digital clock is displayed in the top right hand corner of the desktop. When the curtain is drawn the keyboard is not active and users cannot access key combinations such as ALT+TAB, ALT+ESC or CTRL+ALT+DEL. The
kiosk software giant Netshift also provide support for the PcCredit Boards
via patch costing £50 or through your own third party applications
using the NetShift API. The components needed for rapid third party development
are now available FREE from CyberD.
