Latest CyberD(UK).com Ltd News.Kiosk Graduates!
CyberD are proud to be one of the sponsors of the London College of Music and Media Degree Show 2002 held at The Old Truman Brewery, Glass Gallery, 15 Hanbury Street, London E1. Graduates from the faculty of Thames Valley University are exhibiting works from; digital arts, media technology, video production, radio and music composition and performance, as a part of the Free Range degree show season at The Old Truman Brewery. CyberD sponsor Dinesh Jethwa, freelance designer and final year BA student, with an Opti-Line kiosk. Dinesh is using the kiosk to display his interactive, three dimensional tourist information system, the culmination of his three years at university. He also has other examples of his work on request. He said, "When I saw the kiosk on the web site it was the only one I wanted, I had looked at other sites and none had the style of this kiosk. It was too cool when you agreed to sponsor me!" Dinesh had worried that the smaller screen in the Opti-Line (he designs using a 19" monitor) may not render correctly, however he was amazed at it clarity and resolution. "I can see this kiosk and my interface are perfect together for airports, tourist information offices and hotels, it’s really cool!" Dinesh told us. John Wills, IT Director of CyberD said, "The kiosk and software are a perfect compliment to each other, it really stands out from the crowd." The Opti-Line supplied for the show was fitted with membrane keyboard and trackpad, stereo sound and 15" TFT monitor. Its neutral grey colouring doesn’t detract from the presentation being shown. The stylish sweeps of the side supports blend perfectly with the gallery environment yet still attract the attention of passers by. During the private viewing, 13th June, the system drew a large number of guests and fellow students to Dinesh’s exhibit. The Exhibition runs from today (9am - 9pm) to Sunday 16th June (10am-6pm).
