CyberD have supplied and installed an Opti-Line II kiosk into the A1 services at Durham on behalf of Faber-Maunsell to give visitors free access to traffic information and special freight related information in the area.

The hardware consists of a touch screen, keyboard, trackball and PC. CyberD were able to provide a complete on site commisioning service including network connection, software installation and anti-virus/firewall configuration; our service also covers on site repair and maintenance of the system inthe event of network or hardware failure and repair of installed software.

Faber-Maunsell chose Simple Surf 2 to display the traffic and truck information, utilizing the tab browsing and simple user interface. This system is complete with CyberD's "Call Support" system so if there is a problem with the terminal a member of staff can request remote assistance at the click of a button. CyberD have also set up complete remote administration and monitoring for this kiosk so that a more rapid response can be given than a site visit.

Simple Surf 2 is used to display the information.
