CyberD & on-IDLE Add Interaction
to Rittal Exhibition Stand

CyberD and their partners on-IDLE Ltd teamed up to add interactive fun to the Rittal Ltd display at Network & Telecom 2002, NEC Birmingham.

Rittal requested software that would demonstrate how kiosks work in the field. Together CyberD and on-IDLE produced interactive games and information systems. Cyber Invaders! by CyberD is a demonstration of their ActiveX advertising engine running within a game. This engine can be added to any application to control HTML & Flash files, in this application the engine is managing over an hour of MP3 music and two rotating banner advertisment fields.

on-IDLE produced two games, o-iPing and o-iSolitare, two amusing graphics applications, o-iCyril and o-iSquish, and an interactive DJ mixing desk, o-iTurntables. These applications were incorperated into an information terminal displayed using CyberD's Cyt-Lox 1.1. This system, designed to display standard web content, gave visitors an insight of how powerful and entertaining secure web browers have become.

A third kiosk ran "I Spy With My London Eye", the interactive tourist information system developed by Dinesh Jethwa.

All three kiosks generated great interest over the course of the exhibition and opened people's eyes to how much fun a kiosk can be. These applications brought information delivery into the multi-media age and were a successful symbiosis of hardware and software design.
