Simple Surf 3

Simple Surf 3 sets new ground for internet kiosk systems.

The browser interface of Simple Surf 3 has been designed to combine user familiarity from their experience with other widely used web browsers and the considerations that must be taken when designing for touch screens and public devices.

The browser toolbars are fully customizable allowing administrators to change the button graphics, button text and button actions. The toolbars can be set visible or hidden allowing administrators to create an interface with navigation buttons and no address bar, both address bar and navigation buttons or no toolbars at all depending on their needs.

The address bar has a drop down containing the history of the current session like the browers the users are familiar with at home or in the office; this is cleared when the browser is logged off or restarts after idle time.

Key User Features

Mail+

Mail+ allows you to configure up to four web mail systems for your users to chose from in a simple drop down menu.

You can still choose to use the classic Mail button as found in earlier versions of Simple Surf.

Search+

Search+ allows you to configure up to four search engines for your users to chose from in a simple drop down menu.

You can still choose to use the classic Search button as found in earlier versions of Simple Surf.

Custom Buttons

Custom buttons allows you to add an additional three buttons to your Simple Surf 3 navigation bar giving your users instant access to web sites and services.

All buttons in the Simple Surf 3 navigation bar can be changed to suit your corporate image with new graphics and text.

Improved Tabbed Browsing

The new tab browsing system in Simple Surf 3 allows many web pages to be opened simultaneously with sleek looking tabs that include secure web page notification to the user. This system is a major enhancement of the tabbed browsing provided by earlier versions of Simple Surf.

	Improved Power Management The improved power management system shipped as part of the hardened Microsoft® Windows build on CyberD supplied kiosk systems allows the administrator to configure on a daily basis the start up and shut dwon times of the system, including days on which the system cannot start at all. This system once configured means no one has to manually power on or power off the kiosk making it completely unattended and able to comply with you energy consumption policies.
	Improved Configuration System The new configuration system for Simple Surf 3 and the hardened Microsoft® Windows build on CyberD supplied kiosk systems gives administrators greater control of the applications running on the system, web services and pages accessible by the kiosk user.
	Improved Idle Time Log Out and Screen Savers The imporved idle time log out system allows administrators to deploy any screen saver on to the kiosk system to deliver your corporate message or advertising to people passing and potential service users.
	Improved Security The imporved security systems used in Simple Surf 3 ensure that private data is not stored on the system after the user finishes their session, this can be from the user clicking the Log Out button or from the idle time log out fired when a screen saver starts. The hardened Microsoft® Windows build on CyberD supplied kiosk systems has passed penetration tests carried out by major banking institutions and UK local governments giving system administrators the knowledge that this platform meets the highest standards of security.
