Select
the port you are connecting to by clicking the appropriate port button
in the Connected Comm Port frame.
When a
port is open the "plug" next to the open port button is high
lighted. Whilst a port is open you cannot change the Comm Port Settings,
Flow Control or Connected Port.
To select
the appropriate settings for your device use the dropdown lists of valid
values.
When ever
an event or error is received from the connected port the last event/error
LED is illuminated. By checking "Receive And Stop" a message
box will displayed between each event/error.
When ever
data is received by the port its HEX values are displayed in the "Received
Data" panel as saved to the Comm Log.
Input Control
allows you to change the receive threshold and input length during operation,
"Buffer" opens the Advance Input Buffer Panel.
